Before they go represent Phoenix at this year’s National Poetry Slam, the team from Lawn Gnome Publishing will be doing a showcase during GCC’s monthly open mic poetry series. A Saturday morning with poet and teacher, R. S. Menghert
The Painted Word: Exploring the relationship between visual art and poetry to generate new writing.
R.S. Mengert teaches Creative Writing at Phoenix College. His work has been published in various journals, and he has won the Joyce Carol Oates Award for Poetry.
