Alexander Andrews received his B.A. in 1995 and quickly followed up with the addition of an M.A. in 1997. He is currently a professor of English and Humanities at Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale, AZ. He is an honorary Phi Theta Kappa member and serves as the Honors Programs Director.As a culturally diverse individual with African American, Native American, and European ancestry, Andrews is actively involved in advocating for and emphasizing the perspectives of underrepresented groups in the U.S., abroad, and on campus.. In 2009 he received the Student Advocate Award for Excellence for his exemplary contributions to students and the community.
